Have a tattoo or piercing-related question? We have the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • How old do I have to be to be tattooed at Ink Wizard Tattoo & Body Piercing?

You have to be 18-years-old. However, 17-year-olds are allowed to be tattooed, but they need a parent present with both IDs and birth certificate.

  • How painful are tattoos?

Everyone's pain tolerance is very different; we all have different pain thresholds. The best advice would be to get a small tattoo just to test the waters first. Then go for the bigger pieces. Typically the most painful spots are the "thinner" areas of the body (ribs, feet, hands, neck).

  • I want to get a tattoo on my birthday, how should I go about that?

There is nothing like a tattoo birthday present! The best thing to guarantee you can be tattooed on your birthday, schedule an appointment way before your birthday, that way you will be tattooed!

  • How do I go about scheduling an appointment?

Scheduling an appointment requires you to come to the shop. We would like to talk with you about your tattoo. Make sure all your ideas are transferred to the artist, and there is no confusion. We require a cash deposit for all those scheduling appointments! That holds your appointment in place and goes towards the final price of your tattoo!

  • How much are deposits?

Our shop minimum for tattoo deposits is $100 for small tattoos and will increase depending on the size & complexity of your tattoo. Sleevework & leg tattoos require a minimum of $300 deposit depending on the size & detail of the tattoo. No negotiation on deposit amounts!

  • Are tattoo deposits refundable?

Deposits are refundable as long as they are canceled over 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. All custom tattoos are non-refundable because the artists draw them over 24 hours in advance.

  • Can I swim with my tattoo?

After 14 days, you can swim and submerge your tattoo in any water! However, when exposing your tattoo to the sun or a tanning bed, remember to apply sunscreen over the tattoo! We recommend h2Ocean sunblock or any tattoo sunblock!

  • Do you accept walk-ins?

We accept walk-ins for piercing services. Tattoo walk-ins are accepted on a case-by-case basis, depending on the size and complexity of the tattoo and the artist's availability. It's always a good idea to call ahead for a tattoo appointment.

  • Do you have to be a specific age to get piercings?

Call for specific ages, as our ages vary for piercings. Earlobes are Newborn - 4 Months, then 6 years old and older.
